Even though the clutch seemed ok, I went ahead and purchased a new one and had it installed since it didn't cost any extra for the labor.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello All- I am very excited to share that I just purchased a 2002 Seal Grey 911 Carerra 6 speed with 82K miles. Before I bought the car I took it to a Porsche Dealership and they let me know that the RMS was leaking. So I got the dealership that I was purchasing the car to cover that. Even though the clutch seemed ok, I went ahead and purchased a new one and had it installed since it didn't cost any extra for the labor. I am also adding a 997 shifter, GT2 front bumper and H&R Sport Springs that drop it about an inch. I have factory 18" five star Porsche wheels in matte black. (will get new 18" wheels later) What I need help with is what size spacers to get to push the wheels out without rubbing with the new springs? Any suggestions, thoughts, experiences and pictures would be very helpful. thanks and I look forward to participating in this forum. Scott

I'm running 15mm all around without issue. Sitting on ROW M030 suspension with stock 18" rims.

POST 3Original post

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the forums. Once you start modding your 996(which you obviously have), you'll start slipping deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole. A GT2 front bumper is a nice mod (although it's more difficult than a simple "plug and play"), but many people think it makes the car look a little unbalanced unless you add an agressive rear spoiler. See what I mean? Have fun.

POST 4Original post

I posted almost exactly the same question a week or two back. The short story is that 14mm rear and 7 mm front spacers gives good results with no issues. As you see above - some guys are running 14 (15) mm all around with claimed no issues either. Personally - I purchased a set of four 14 mm H&R spacers with bolts cheap on craigslist and will be trying them out soon. If they don't work up front - I'll buy a pair of 7 mm and put two of the 14s up for sale. Hopefully this will happen next week. I have a steering rack to replace and four newly painted callipers to install and bleed.
