Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've used these on all of my cars that were ever outside in California.
Leading evidence: 'Use these' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use these' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hi all,
since i added the C4S to the stable, i need to figure out how to protect my MB S600(temporarily). we're in SF area, so most of the time it is dry outside and i'm just trying to protect from dust and the element.
during the raining season, however, it can get wet. therefore, i would need something that will handle that as well.
any input would be appreciated.
thx.

No experience with MB car covers but I found the ones offered by Porsche for Porsches to be extremely high quality covers. Oh, and specifically for outside use. High quality and high priced.
You might then see what MB parts has to offer for your car.
Or do an online search of car covers and see what 3rd party car cover companies offer.
Have you considered maybe renting a covered space in a storage facility into which you can park/store the car? You can still cover the car with a car cover - intended for outside use -- but underneath a car port the cover has much less to contend with.
I live on the coast down south and when I got my C4s my 911 had to move outside - I have had this cover for a year and have been VERY happy with it. It stays on through the Santa Ana winds - keeps the care dry during fog days and is easy to take off and on.

IMHO I think car covers can cause more rot to a car than a car standing out without a cover. Can you imagine a shower and the sun shining in a warm climate. Underneath that cover has to be steaming hot from the road surface up under those covers no matter how tight they are around the body. Steam will get anywhere. At least the wind can dry the car faster and blow away condensate from under the car with no cover. I suggest you simply put a good polish onto the car body every. month and the car will be fine outside. That's OIMHO
I think the Covercraft Evolution 4 is a better cover. I've used these on all of my cars that were ever outside in California. They breathe well and can protect your car from hail damage if that ever happens. Also, he's in the Bay area which is totally different than PA.
Hurdi - I used to think that too - but living on the Coast in California - if your car is outside - you really need a cover - or you will get rust. We don't get much rain and we don't get steam off the road when we do. It is really about protecting the car from marine layer moisture.
