Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
There is a small cut in mine that I suspect was caused by a careless state inspector scraping the decal on the windshield with a razor blade.
Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does anyone here have a cluster surround sitting around collecting dust? Mine got scratched
and I was going to purchase a replacement but thought I would throw it out there just incase..... This is the part that surrounds the cluster over the dash....

Are you talking about the plastic "instrument surround" that envelops the area around the gauges or the pleather "dash pod" that bolts to the top of the dash over the gauges.

Hi Eli,
How much do these go for new? There is a small cut in mine that I suspect was caused by a careless state inspector scraping the decal on the windshield with a razor blade.
Yet another reason why I hate those ugly inspection and tax decals.
my infamous UK shop manual seems to be suggesting that the pod is attached by a screw behind the hazard button and another behind the small volume sensor, or whatever it is , on the left of the insturement surround. Is it really that easy?
i bought a carbon fiber surround last month.
Pull out the haz switch and the little cover on the left and you'll find two tox screws deep in there. remove the two screws and that's really it..... You'll need to pull in an upward direction on the removal since it snaps into place. Easy way to remove the three plug from the rear of the cluster is to pull the unity out next to the steering wheel and look through the windshield from the outside of the car so you can see what you're doing since you'll have a couple with release levers.
Once everything is out you can remove everything you want to with ease....

Sorry about that, I guess I want others who are local to
wave at my mug if they see me driving by.....
I lost your E-mail address, PM it to me again please and I'll send you an other. =Thanks=

I'll probably just pick up the leather one and take mine into get done local. I'm going to see how it comes out. If it is good then I'll probably offer it out here.......
