Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Mod advice: Was considering getting rid of my wonderful 1999 C2 for a Cayman, 2005 C2, or maybe even an 05 M-B CLK500. Assuming I keep the *****, was thinking of some performance mods. Tell me what you guys think:
1. Cold Air Intake: which one is worth the money?
2. ECU upgrade
3. Exhaust
4. Supercharger (any good deals/products)
Or should I just get the 05 C2?
BTW- the payment would be 1050 versus 950 I pay now (car is paid off in 18 mos). Really I just want advice on mods, I could probably keep the car forever.
My wife has had a 2005 CLK 320 Cabriolet for two years. She likes it but for $55k + I expected more. I would reank it as just OK. Get the '05 C2 and be done with it. You can mod it as you please over time, but still be able to enjoy it NOW! If you want additional horses, why not get a C2 S (355 hp) or see if you can find a C2S with the X-51 package (381 hp).
K&N flat panel air filter is all you need for air filtration.... and a GIAC ECU flash ... that will change the way your car runs and drives... exhaust... get the PSE... sweetest sounding exhaust IMO.
P.
I agree that PSE is an outstanding option. I remember the first time I heard it was at the new service facility at Len Stoler in MD. I was talking to a Porsche mechanic and another mechanic drove a 996 into one of the service bays. The sound in that closed area was comparable to the effect you get in a tunnel. Although these mechanics service Porsches all day long, the guy driving the car had to rev up the engine a few times before he shut it down just to hear the sweet music played by the exhaust, and everyone in the facility had smiles on their faces. The mechanic I was talking to asked me what I thought about PSE, and all I could say was WOW.
