Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

They've appearantly change the new caliper bolts to a star design therefore, I'm going to have to re-use the old bolts.

You can do that, but Porsche recommends changing the caliper bolts whenever you change the pads, which is why they include them with the kit.

So I can just pop out that pin, tap out the stud and remove the bracket to change the pads?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

... ,however, I noticed something a little different from what I recall on the front brake pads (which I changed over a year ago).
The new pads don't come with the ring/round stubs as did the original pads. Is this normal or do I have the wrong pads.
The anti-squeel pads don't come with them and can be resued, if you can get them off in one piece. However I recommond buying news ones all the time. Don't have to, just it makes the brake job easier.
But thats just me.
You can do that, but Porsche recommends changing the caliper bolts whenever you change the pads, which is why they include them with the kit. I would try to get a socket that fits the new bolts before I used the old bolts.
Just my 1.6 (deflation, you know).
I'll have to come back to that since my gf has my truck. Once I find the stud star socket, I'll switch them out.
Thanks everyone, loading the tires back on now, then out to break in the new pads.
Wait a second, you have a GF yet you are still giving yourself a BJ? What gives?
She should be helping you with the BJ, if only to get beer while you are working on the BJ. LOL
