I've swapped out the ***** before and it's really no big deal. On the 996, the **** is not bolted to the shifter, but uses glue to secure it. Have she seen some of the premium ***** for the 996 from Porsche? For example: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...e996knobs.html
