I had an issue with my newly installed Pioneer W5660NEX where music, etc sounded fine but Siri, voicemails and voice calls sounded really tinny and like they were in a box.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 1999 C2 with the non-Bose factory amp & DSP. I had an issue with my newly installed Pioneer W5660NEX where music, etc sounded fine but Siri, voicemails and voice calls sounded really tinny and like they were in a box. Long story short, after opening cases with Apple, Pioneer & doing a bunch of troubleshooting, I decided to access the DSP faceplate stuck behind the HVAC controls. I noticed that some of the lights were still on (buttons might have gotten pushed when I was stuffing it back there). I pushed the buttons until none of the lights were lit anymore and the issue is now gone.
