Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So Rockauto has a closeout on Brembo cross drilled rotors for $25 a piece...however it says front left only. This is for a 2001 C2. I thought 996 rotors were the same for the front as most retailers sell the same part number for the pair. Please advise. Here is the info: BREMBO Part # 25799 Flag indicates this part fits vehicles sold in the US Market. It does not indicate where the part was made -- manufacturers produce parts in multiple factories worldwide. Flag indicates this part fits vehicles sold in the Canadian Market. It does not indicate where the part was made -- manufacturers produce parts in multiple factories worldwide. Front Left; OE Replacement; Except Turbo Look; Except Turbo [Wholesaler Closeout -- 30 Day Warranty] (Only 11 Remaining) Part Image $25.79

POST 2Original post

I think the are directional due to the pattern of the cross drilled holes.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Which would mean it would would only fit left side?

I thought this was already specified in your own post:

POST 5Original post

The OEM rotors are unidirectional. The venting is different on each side. You could get one of these and find the Brembo right side from another source and still save money.

It will fit both sides but the internal cooling vanes will face the wrong way on the passenger side & not cool the brake rotor as designed on that side. Thanks for posting, just placed my order!

has anyone been able to find a right side brembo rotor to match? part#25800/4

And it makes a difference. On my wife's q7 I did the front rotors and ordered 2 of the same side. I did not know any better at the time. Thought it would not matter and just used them. After a few stops when driving the car would pull to one side when braking. Swapped out for the correct rotors shortly thereafter.

Doesn't look like these will fit turbo or C4S correct?
