Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Don't go study psychology, just run a small business in the 21st Century.
Leading evidence: 'Run small business in the 21st century' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run small business in the 21st century' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

They knew fair use only allowed them to show 10% or less, but no, it wasn't good enough, they wanted to show the entire movie.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ask the guy that infringed on my IMS Solution Patent how it worked out for him..
Just putting a feeler out there to see if there's any interest in people getting together to disassemble and reassemble M9X engines.
I'm collecting blown M9Xs casually. As of right now, I have two blown ones. One has a high probability of being rebuilt with complete disassembly and reassembly. The other has a piston stuck in cylinder 5. I'm hoping to add another one in the next few days.
I'm offering to host some people at my house to get together and mess around with these engines. Nothing formal. If only one person is interested, that's fine, too.
Ideally it would be a group of people with varying knowledge of M9X and have the specialty tools and DVD. Also, anyone who has their own blown engine, feel free to bring it with you.
I am in Maryland, located very close to the airport and can probably provide a room or two to stay in.
Anyway, let me know if there's any interest and we can go from there.
I'm just watching, and waiting. Waiting for the person who will be my first example of copyright infringement. Ask the guy that infringed on my IMS Solution Patent how it worked out for him..
That said, The Knowledge Gruppe would offer a reduced cost license to support a project like this with multiple people watching a single DVD. Its important that activities like this be held, but the funny thing is the very first stage of the series starts out with me stating that engine building is not a group activity, and it is not a social activity.
I'd not be hard to deal with about this unless people push my buttons, don't ask for written permission and infringe on the copyright. If they do, well... Let's just say I will have a lot of fun, and I'll make them famous. (I personally can't wait)
Would it be ok to watch together with my wife?😁
In regards to FB poll on price of dvd's, did the conclusion on recovering costs of production not make sense to you? Seemed like a valid economic equation. As the pole creator stated, and I will as well, I'm not questioning if the current price is worth it. Im sure it is!
I didn't see that.. The moderators on that page banned me some time ago, though I never even posted.
At the end of the day, the cost and pricing isn't up to me. I never wanted it to be. I was hired talent/ knowledge.
The goal for this video was never to sell massive volumes of them. It's all about detail, and detail is expensive, and can't be made in massive numbers. Other videos in the future will be much cheaper, and more people can benefit from them. These are things like buyer's guides, familiarization videos, and videos on topics that are hot.
I don't see it getting any cheaper. People can have all the opinions they want, have all the ideas they want, but the attention to detail in this content can't be discounted. Hell, I cringed when I say LN and Pelican offering discounts for the DVDs as a pre- order. I've never discounted anything... I'd rather starve as discount my life. There have been times in my life that I did starve, because I refused to discount things. That built character.
^👍
*it just showed that 'whomever' is selling the Dvd's, it made more sense ecomically at lower price point.
*it was a FB poll, so whatever that's worth.😎
I wouldn't give any of the facebook forum polls any merit on a product of this subject matter. Most of those people wouldn't buy it at any price point. Market is the best mechanism for driving prices in the right direction. I'm sure the stakeholders within The Knowledge Gruppe have spent a lot of time discussing the appropriate price for the content given the limited audience for rebuilding these engines. I've seen a lot of academic publications that had cult followings fall by the wayside when released because they listened to the wrong people. Seems like that poll you describe was trying to do a service for which none was needed.
Basically, they would all love the info, and want it as cheap as possible- just like all the people that message us after their local mechanic screws up their M9X engine after he tries to treat it like all the other crap he works on.
They feel entitled to this help, just because we have earned an authoritative role with these engines due to being fire pissing, hard chargers that learned about them while everyone else was busy shunning them, and not wanting to learn.
I absolutely guarantee that even IF the price was as low as those clowns on FB voted for in the poll, that only 20% of them would buy the video. I learned that with a group buy for connecting rods 20 years ago.. Only 4 people out of 45 actually bought the rods after we made them. It was at that time that I was absolutely done with people. Want to learn about humans? Don't go study psychology, just run a small business in the 21st Century.
Want, want, want... Cheap, cheaper, cheapest. That's the society we exist in today. Notice I said "exist", because there's not a lot of "living" going on, and there's always a clown out there that thinks that what you do is easier, and more lucrative than it is. The reason I wanted to be paid for the video work up front, is because I knew that it would take YEARS of sales to ever make a return on the investment to produce it.
I might be adding a '99 M96 to the collection this weekend.
Glenn,
Trust me. I miss those days. I wish we got together more to do things like this. We had two "Install Days" back then. They were a lot of fun. Not sure why we didn't do more though.
One of my biggest regrets was thinking we would all be hanging out for a long time. After 2004, the group slowly started dropping out. Marriage and kids killed team.BAR!! LOL
Now I am the only one who still messes with cars and goes to the track.
I can be that first person. Should I send you my contact info now?

Again, group viewings are no problem, and reduced rates for multiple viewing licenses are possible, and not expensive.
TKG has already issued at least one set of licenses to a group of collectors who store their cars together, and wanted to buy one video, and use it at their location for multiple viewings. They were upfront, and honest, and they did the right thing, even when no one was looking.
BMI has been retained to ensure copyright compliance for the series.
I think every town in America has dealt with copyright infringement when it comes to public display of protected works such as movies, broadcasts, music, etc. About ten years ago, cops went around handing out subpoenas to sports bar owners that were showing the big games on their large televisions without permits.
Lots of my colleagues thought it was okay to show movies to large groups of students. They knew fair use only allowed them to show 10% or less, but no, it wasn't good enough, they wanted to show the entire movie. Famous last words.
Jake, it's smart you've teamed up with BMI. Aside from ASCAP, I understand they're the best in the industry. If you want some personal examples/advice, PM "Doug H" over on the 997 subforum. He's a lawyer from Nashville and his firm firm handled many of the Napster lawsuits.
For those curious about public display of sports, here's a quick little article from Consumer Reports:
https://www.consumerreports.org/cons...me-on-a-60-tv/
If I understand it correctly, it’s not like Napster, where actual copies of songs were distributed, nor like bars that were profiting off drink sales while watching games.
I think it’s more like inviting some friends over to watch a dvd movie. There are no copies distributed, nor is any money being made while watching it. Are you saying this dvd is only licensed for one person viewing, and if others want to watch they must purchase additional licenses?
