Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

you've been in my life for just a short time mr porsche - i'm gonna miss our long road trips and deep discussions regarding my menopausal wife, rotten kids and crazy in-laws. hopefully your replacement is as encouraging and understanding.

POST 2Original post

Didn't you buy it in April? Why dump it so fast?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i didn't dump it - i was able to get a few bucks for it 2003 C4S on the way -wanted a turbo but can't justify the xtra $10K - kid going to college in sept., wife would kick me out etc...

POST 7Original post

POST 8Original post

Now you have to work on the wife and kids problem!

POST 9Original post

Still have the wife, daughter graduates from UCSC on Saturday. Hang in there, things get better quickly. Or, at least it seems that way when you're looking back on it. Menopause is a bitch. Hot and cold flashes, hot and cold running moods, etc. I thought it was more like a light switch change, rather than spread out over a number of years. In a few years, a 996TT is on my list. Luckily, there's a lot of them to choose from in LA.

sounds like we are on the same path - TT comes next but looking forward to the C4S - love the design much better than the current porsche design.

POST 11Original post

whatever you do, always make your family a priority, everything else is just material.

POST 12Original post

The C4S is a wonderful car, have fun with it!

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i agree - this is why i haven't shot them and buried them in my back yard.

POST 14Original post

So Groovzilla, what has your total 996 ownership been with both previous 996s in days? I'm not knocking you for trying to improve each water cooled 911 you've owned, just your length of ownership. Nice to see you can turn them for a profit.

POST 16Original post

It really surprises me to see some guys cycle through cars so quickly. The sales tax, registration costs, and general hassle of buying and selling cars is not something I prefer to sign up for every year (or less!). Plus, I put all that work in to mods, I want to enjoy them for a while But if you get something new and different frequently and that works for you, enjoy!
