Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Mine was about 26.5" front and rear before I installed the RoW M030 suspension.
Leading evidence: 'Install row m030 suspension' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install row m030 suspension' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

what size wheel spacers do i get? these wheels came with the car but the seem like they are tucked in just a bit too much. is this normal to come from the factory like this?
front and backs are 18"
the rear are 265 and the front i think are 225
Hard to tell from this angle, take a picture perpendicular to it (looking at the doors, but still with the wheels in the frame, that will help to see the ride height).
Stock, the wheels on a 996 are "tucked in" a little like you describe. I would say yours look stock as far as inset, not sure about ride height from this angle.
Cheers,
DS
Looks to be lowered from this angle but it does not look like you have spacers on there and i wouldn't recomend you getting any. The only after market part on there are your exhaust tips......
I put the Porsche 5mm spacer kit on mine some years back. I thought it made the narrow body car look 'right' without looking like it was trying too hard, and at that size you're not going to put any additional strain on anything.
This pic isn't from an ideal angle, but FWIW.
That is the proper offset for the narrow-body 996. You might like a 5mm spacer to push the wheels out a bit, and you can get one from Porsche. Porsche recommends 5mm spacers for aesthetics, and larger spacers for incorrect offsets. You can go larger also, but do your research to make sure that you don't have rubbing or other issues.
If you measure from the center of the wheel arch through the center cap to the ground, that should tell you if the height is stock or not. Mine was about 26.5" front and rear before I installed the RoW M030 suspension. Now its 26.25 front and 25.75 rear.
Hope that helps!
As other members have mentioned I would go with 15mm on the front and 7or 5mm on rear. We do offer a variety of spacer options.

I have 15mm H&R bolt through spacers on my front (8x18 50mm) with 225/40 tires with no rubbing issues. No spacers on the rear, but the wheels are huge (11x18 63mm offset) with 295/30 tires. The 15mm spacers in front bring the tires out to the fender to the same extent as the rears.
Given the width of the rears, they are already as close to the fenders as possible. In fact, some had said they wouldn't fit without rolling the fender lips, but that turned out not to be the case.
I bought spacers for the front a long time ago when I had the original 17" wheels because they were tucked too far in and needed to be pushed out a bit. When I got the 18" wheels, I kept them and I still like the look because the front wheels come right out to the edge of the fenders like my rear wheels.
