Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Both were perfect, so here I am a couple of years later and I decided to just replace the bearing soon when I change out the clutch.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I purchased the IMS Guardian on the first group buy that FSI offered. It's never been installed nor has the box ever been opened. Also purchased the "special" support phone number if the warning buzzer ever went off.
I believe in the product; I just never got around to installing it and I'm getting fairly close to needing a clutch, so I'll just do the bearing.
Current price with support is $419.95
I'm asking $350.00 shipped in the continental US.
New Price!!
Thanks!
As I said, I bought it when it first came out with the intention of installing it with my next oil change. I also wanted to wait until a few people had installed it to see if any installation problems came up. By the time my oil change came around, not many had installed it or had posted about it, so I waited. I also began a oil filter inspection and UOA program at that time. Both were perfect, so here I am a couple of years later and I decided to just replace the bearing soon when I change out the clutch.
Make sense?
I'd expect it will sell quick.. We are out of stock (again) and are getting calls everyday looking for them. I'll tell the next caller about this unit for sale..
If the unit was part of the first batch, those were delivered 10/18/11 so the warranty of one year is almost expended. We've only had one unit returned for warranty purposes out of all those that we have sold, so don't worry about it. :-)
I've been away from the board for a while & this is the first I have heard of "The Guardian".
Can somebody post a link as to what it does, how it functions, & how is installed.

Likewise, DS. Mine is in the shop here in Houston getting the IMS replaced as we speak. My guardian has been on for about 9 months without hitch. Mine is a tip, so they have to remove engine and tranny to see whether it's a single or double row. They had a GT2RS on one of the racks - sweet.
I cannot believe its still listed.. We still are out of stock and I have sent at least a dozen people to this thread!
Don't pull the Guardian if you carry out an IMSR.... The Guardian has saved more engines from failure due to lifter and cam/ timing chain issues than IMS Bearing failures. The system is a true engine guardian in every way.
