Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

i've used "goof off" on one of my 911's years ago - slow going but worked well and didn't f--- up paint at all

I use GOOAWAY on anything like that, it does not hurt paint.

Then begin to use Rejex (yes, I use it and I have it on the order page).

No need to use clay unless that stuff is that hardened it won't come off.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Plenty of online info on how to use a claybar. Try this site out. It's easy. No affiliation whatsoever. I just do a lot of detailing and find the Sonus product line to be superb.

definitely read autopia.
don't "rub" -- use a product designed to dissolve bio stuff like tree sap.
I used have a couple of trees that rain sap at various times of the day or year. They're now gone -- burned as firewood.
I think I had something Griots -- it was basically an orange peel thing like all those recent citrous products.
No need to use clay unless that stuff is that hardened it won't come off. Wash the car twice with your usual cleaner, then hit it with Paint Cleaner. Should come right off. Use warmer water.
Then begin to use Rejex (yes, I use it and I have it on the order page). With Rejex, I can get nearly anything off the car in three seconds.
I didn't want to start a new thread.
Any updates on what's the best thing to use for tree sap? Parked the car under a pine tree yesterday and there are huge f-in drops of tree sap and I don't want to ruin the paint. I've heard isopropyl or ethyl alcohol with some hot water will do it without damaging the paint. Is that true?
Thanks!
Now WD-40 is something everyone has and is quick as opposed to claying the entire car which I also have. I know DTMiller randomly sprays it on everything.
There are liquid products at AUTOZONE that just wipe on and wipe the sap away without hurting the paint. I use GOOAWAY on anything like that, it does not hurt paint.
I just spent 3 hours today taking off baked on ( by the sun for 5+ years) race car stickers off a black 996. Scared to death about damaging the finish, I tried several products and found that Goo Off Max Strength worked but left some micro scratches which I plan to compound/ polish out.
Another product that a auto body guy told me about is Purple Power to take off organic stuff like splattered bugs. This does work great but you will need to re-wax those areas again.
Hope this helps.
Come on guys. Way overthinking/engineering this. Start with dawn dish soap and hot water. Bet my bottom dollar it works. If not, go to wd40 as previously recommended. Wash and wax the area. You're done.
