Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So, the JIC is off the car. I have put the X74 setup on. As close to stock as I am going. Hey, they have Porsche part #'s.. Anyway, anyone interested in a "smoking deal" on a used JIC, let me know. This is the fully adjustable setup.

POST 3Original post

I am interested, PM me with price and details... -Keith

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If you think x74 is a stiff ride, don't even think about trying the JIC's. Night and day. Also, it's a Porsche part, makes the whole car sale thing easier. The car is in the shop getting all tuned up, changing coolant, trany fluid, brake fluid, oil, etc, thought I should just try the x74 before I give the car away. I think my disenchantment might have been the suspension. Anyway, driving up to Canada on Friday, will have a weekend to REALLY get to know the set up. Will report back with an a/b comparison.

POST 5Original post

yetis, I'm also interested in the price/details Steve 2003 996

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have sent everyone email/pm's. I have 4 people on the list so far, so if they don't pan out, I will come back to the teet. Also, I will take some picks, post them up and let everyone see how well a set of JIC's fair on a C4 over the span of a year and a bit. I think they look pretty good considering.

POST 8Original post

Thanks - I'd love to hear your thoughts on the comparison between the 2 set ups. I have a new set of JIC coilovers sitting in my garage - just haven't gotten around to putting them on yet...

POST 9Original post

Chris, I was at Taso's the day before having my stock suspension put back in since I'm trading the car in and the stealer was giving me nothing for the X73. I saw your name on the list for the next day's work. Hope all works out for you, I bet you'll like the X74 a whole lot better. You are exactly right about mods and resale, very hard to get anything out of a modded car. People prefer a stock car I guess. The only way to get your money out of mods is to return the car to rock stock( always save your stock stuff) and sell the used parts sep later, at least you can get 50 cents on the dollar that way.
