Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know what happens if you accidently remove this one instead??? Any detrimental effect to removing the relay?

POST 2Original post

It should not have any negative repercussions, UNLESS you drive a 40th Anniversary 996... if so, then.... Just kidding! Sorry, I couldn't help myself! Seriously, I don't know what impact removing that diode may have on the car. Can you re-solder the connection back onto the circuit board?

POST 3Original post

sorry, but i'm new to the Porsche thing, whats a PSE Mod?

POST 4Original post

PSE - Porsche Sports Exhaust. Fantastic sound! The mod is to cut the diode and thus also enable PSE below the cut off RPM (3500?) I run mufflers only myself and would never go back to stock again

POST 5Original post

It's easier (and less risky) to cut the grey/pink speed sensor wire a few inches before it connects to the relay. And it's reversible.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Pazzo, How do you get to the sensor wire?

POST 7Original post

At least for the PSE retrofit, it's behind the relay panel. Check out this link on Renntech http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...wtopic=491&hl= Also, check out this link, in case the relay was installed in a position other than 23: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...wtopic=873&hl=
