Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

To those with IPOD's in the car or hardwired, what type of mount are you using? I bought a IPOD video the other day, so it's kind of cool to have music vidoes now with your tunes, but I need a proper place to hold it. I bought a Brackettron mount which clips to the AC vent and it is the worst POS ever. Looking for some real suggestions and see what works. Let's see your pics. Thanks

Here's mine https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/216715-another-ipod-install.html

POST 4Original post

Sorry no mount, got mine built into the glove box...with a wirless remote.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Orient... Thanks for the DIY... I don't have a +02 MOST system, but its definitely a good reference. Cheers Tom, that looks like the set-up I would like to have! Do you have any more info on the mount you bought? Also, have you tried other places to mount it? Just curious... Thanks man wross, nice one! Unforunately, I won't be able to see the video if it's stuck in the glove box... but who am i kidding, I don't even have a glove box! Cheers

POST 6Original post

MOST cars are 2003+. Mine is a 2002 and is the analog system like on 99-2001s.

POST 7Original post

Let me get this right...you want to watch video while you are driving? Maybe you should install a beermeister so you can have a cold one to go with it.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

C'mon do you think I can watch a video while driving? Let alone off an ipod? The screen is too small to do anything else... I swear, it's not like an alpine unit where it big enough to keep it in the corner of your eye. You really got to concentrate on that sucka! With that said, its enough to keep the people in the car amused with the music videos while I can listen to the music. Ideal situation for me... Also, if I need to wait for anyone, I can pop on a tv show or some vids of the gt3 doing laps at the ring if I really wanted to... I kind of like that option, but its personal preference I'll look into the beermeister thing you are talking about. Sounds amazing.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My apologies. I thought 02's were MOST cars.

POST 10Original post

Here are some pictures of my install on a 2001 C4 Cab. Dension ice-link holder and a ProClip mount than clips onto the side of the console

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dr_KarlB, Looks great! Are you happy with the set-up? If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy the Denison holder and Proclip from?

POST 12Original post

Jon, I am really happy with this set up. I dont really use the Dension User Interface, but just run thru the iPOD interface. The quality of sound is great for my ears anyway... oh i do have the Surround Sound package on the car though.. not sure if this makes a difference. I got both parts online. Densionusa.com and proclipusa.com Very easy to install both parts if you have the keys for the radio

POST 13Original post

I put a Kuda mount in my 997, fairly nice product which is car-specific. I actually got it for my Treo but it works perfectly with my Ipod. Unfortunately, I have the MOST system so I can't hardwire to the stereo system (and I haven't hardwired the power). Info here: http://www.kudausa.com/kuda.php (no affiliation, yada yada)
