Personally, I'd recommend an extra set of rims, but if cost is a major concern, you could get away with just tires assuming your stockers are the size you want for winter.

I want to get a set of 17inch wheels and winter tires for my 2001 C4 Cab. I would like to go with stock Porsche wheels if possible? Where is the best place to get these without breaking the bank? Is anyone selling a used set of wheels? Thanks

either wheel enhancement in california or tire rack-should not be hard to find, but will cost good money due to wheels. if you want to save money, just get tires and have them changed seasonaly.

Track, You may be better off just putting on snow tires are doc said. I have the same car, and I put on Dunlop Winter Sport M2s. The are Porsche recommended, so you dont need to go with 17". Otherwise, you can call tire rack (won't do it online) and perhaps they can set you up with a winter tire package.
