Suggestion

I would also keep topping fuel off after drive just to keep it fresh...and clean oil before you start the 6 month hiatus.

I believe the security system uses battery charge, so you may be better off leaving the car unlocked (security system disengaged).

Only thing I would do (assuming it is indoors) is use some of that moisture absorbent stuff in the car and keep the windows almost shut.

I am storing my car where I won't be able to drive it but maybe 1 to 2 times per month for the next 5 or 6 months. (long story as to why) Assuming a secure environment, is it less energy used on the battery with it locked or unlocked? How long is the max between driving periods that I can count on the battery generally? (A trickle charger is not possible) Are there other things I should consider? FYI... I'm in a very humid part of the country. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Scott

Scott, IMHO considering it is summer and if you drive it every other week I don't see why you would have to do anything. Only thing I would do (assuming it is indoors) is use some of that moisture absorbent stuff in the car and keep the windows almost shut. I also would just wax it up good to make it easier to clean later on. I would also keep topping fuel off after drive just to keep it fresh...and clean oil before you start the 6 month hiatus. The trickle charger is ideal - but you say you can't use it - I imagine you will not have access to electricity? I believe the security system uses battery charge, so you may be better off leaving the car unlocked (security system disengaged).
