Hello, I am the proud new owner of a preowned Porsche 1999 996 Cab silver. I love the car so much. Now I realize what everyone has been talking about. Quick question that has been bugging me.... When I brake hard I break well but at the end i feel like the car skids just a little, is this normal?? Sorry for the stupid question. Any feedback would definately be very helpful. Thank you

Sounds to be to be more of a tire problem rather than brakes. If you start to skid, your ABS should kick in and you will know when that happens because of the noise and vibration in the pedal. How hard are you braking? I have yet to experience, in 40,000 miles, my ABS kicking in except for on ice or snow. If there is a fault in the ABS system, your dash indicator light should be on.

Even with ABS the car does skid very slightly before it kicks in. It happens every now and then, but you must be breaking hard.
