Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Of course none of them are "as good" as Jake, but is there anyone else out there that builds a decent factory spec engine that under normal street use will suffice.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Flame retardant suit on... Not trying to start a religious war here folks, I know Jake's engines are amazing, and worth every penny, but are there any other 996 engine rebuilders out there besides Jake? Of course none of them are "as good" as Jake, but is there anyone else out there that builds a decent factory spec engine that under normal street use will suffice.

I'd also talk with your local PCA chapter members. I'd be surprised if there aren't any shops in TX that could provide you with a solid build. They just might not have any on-line presence so visiting and having a conversation about your goals and expectations may be the best way to go.

POST 5Original post

LN Engineering would be a good option for a stock rebuild.

9xx Motors in Long Beach California. They can ship you a motor. Good pricing also. http://www.9xxmotors.com/

Nope, not even close! But I answer a lot of questions in other Porsche related groups I'm in. I'd like to able to tell them something that they don't have to wait a year for.

WOW! When were you assigned to be the "Question Police"? I've had some pleasant exchanges with the gentleman and was hoping he didn't have an immediate need of services of an engine builder. Nothing more. Nothing less. Calm thyself...

If you can’t wait, I’d suggest RND engines from LN Engineering. https://lnengineering.com/rnd-store/...-services.html
