Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I decided to drop the sump plate to inspect for any debris in there while doing a 6 month oil change and found this piece of ferrous metal. I did not have the LN Engineering magnetic plug, i was about to install it. I only used the magnet to dredge the bottom of the plate. A little history on the engine: It has 36k miles. I last changed the oil in September and have 1,800 since then. I have not had to add any oil to the engine. I cut open the filter and did not find any debris in the filter. The piece on the oil plug is the only thing i have been able to find in there. The IMSB was replaced in 2016 with an LN Engineering retrofit. I know it is due for replacement which is why i was inspecting the engine sump. Any ideas on where that piece might have come from? I know its a long shot.
