I ponied up and bought the Pro Durametric. I only own one Porsche, and expect it to remain that way for a while, but I just didn't want to be limited if I was ever searching for a new car, or wanted to help a friend. So... For anyone in the area of the San Francisco East Bay, you are welcome to use it. Send me a PM if you are in need and we will connect. Though I live in Benicia, my job takes me all over the Bay Area and Sacramento, so I'm around.

I just got it and have been pretty busy, so I haven't played with it that much. I did use it for a few minutes and can see that it will be worth reading the manual to see what all it can do. But it was super easy and works as expected. The real time readouts of RPMs, etc was fun to see plotted. I really bought one ahead of need. Mine isn't a daily drive, but if (when?) I get a CEL, I'll want to know right away what the issue is. I'm also using it on a MacBook Air running Virtual Box with Windows XP as the VM. Hope that helps a bit. keytohwy
