Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, I just purchased my first Porsche and wanted to introduce myself. I bought a silver '99 996 C2 with black interior. 18" rims. I haven't done any mods yet, but am anxious to do so. Anyway, here are some pics. I look forward to chatting with you all often.

POST 4Original post

Welcome a board! Good choice in cars. You will love those wheels, I just bought a set and they are awesome, but you need to clean inside cause it is pretty visable. That's the price you pay though for looks and light weight.

POST 6Original post

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome aboard.

POST 7Original post

Congrats and welcome! Love those Carrera lightweights and the chrome ovals. Those amber sidemarkers gotta go!

POST 9Original post

I was just waiting for that classic line :-) And yes - they got to go! Fast! Welcome to the mod board, and be prepared with your wallet. Soon we will have PSE, SSK and other nifty gadgets in your car ;-)

POST 10Original post

JC - Welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm! Nice looking P-car! Make sure you grap your wallet and hold on tight. These guys will have your head spinning by suggesting mods left and right.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sounds great! I'm open to suggestions...what to do first (obviously the side lights) or what not to do. Thanks for the warm welcome. I have already noticed that this is a tight club. I've exchanged waves and nods with every other P-car on the road.

POST 12Original post

Welcome, And I can 100% help you spend your money pretty quick..How much do you like wheels

POST 13Original post

Nice wheels! I had those on my old 993. Welcome to Rennlist! First mod--cheap, and easy to install--get the smoked side markers. It will make the car look a lot better and will only cost you about $20-$30. OT-- Gravedgr, is that M3 Carbon Black? It looks exactly like mine!

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I love a new pair of shoes! I'm a pretty big fan of the one's on there now though. I was thinking of maybe a new front bumper first. I like the one on Fishman's. Is that a Turbo bumper? Do they make that one for a 99?

POST 15Original post

Welcome to the club and congratulations. The first thing you want to do is take the car out and drive it. The second thing you want to do is to drive it around a lot. The third thing is to fill it with gas. The fourth thing is to drive it some more. The fifth thing is keep driving it. The sixth thing - I can't remember what the sixth thing is, but if you drive around in your new car, it will probably come to you. ps Don't believe a word from people who tell you there is something wrong with sitting in your car in the middle of the night in your pajamas - especially if you are driving around in it.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great post Smackboy! Glad to know I'm not alone. This car is a daily driver for me, and now I go for drives during my lunch break. Sometimes I will just go out to the parking garage and look at her...maybe sit in her for a few minutes.

POST 17Original post

The best mod (IMHO) is PSE - the fantastic sound box behind you. Forget about audio systems - get a sports exhaust system. I've had it on now for 2-3 month, and cannot imagine my car without it. See - we already started ;-)

POST 18Original post

Welcome... leave now while you still can (don't let the mod bug get you, it will ruin your life)

POST 19Original post

Sweet Ride!! I don't know about others but I can just live vicariously through all these guys great mods...
