Suggestion
So in Spring, I have skis exit cab out of one of the rear-quarter windows and fill the gap with an expendable towel in case it drops out.

When I was driving SAAB convertibles all I could come up with was installing a trailer hitch and using a hitch ski rack.

Hello, I have a 997 cabriolet and I’m looking for a way to mount Skis even a bike rack might be modifiable to work for that purpose if anyone knows of anything also, if anyone has utilized the sea sucker products on a cabriolet for skis

Nothing. I have searched to no avail since 2016 per old pics of 911SC cab with ski's mounted at rear in picturesque photos. Gave up. So in Spring, I have skis exit cab out of one of the rear-quarter windows and fill the gap with an expendable towel in case it drops out.

You could look into adding a hidden trailer hitch on your 997. There are lots of ski racks that connect to trailer hitch setups. I did a quick google search and found this link, but I'm sure there are other options: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/1 ... 7-2-a.html
