Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, replacing all 4 O2 sensors on my 2001 C4. Seeing conflicting info on the recommendation for an O2 sensor socket vs a 22mm fixed/adjustable wrench. Can all be accessed with a wrench? Would job be easier with a socket? Thanks.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well now that I completed the project, I'll answer my own question Yes, an O2 socket is necessary; an offset version. And nice to have a breaker bar handy as well as a wobble socket.

POST 3Original post

Dear msmmiami, Thank you so much for helping msmmiami figure out his problem ,ha. Seriously, I bet you helped quite a few folks figure out a concern ahead of their similar project.

POST 4Original post

What O2 socket did you use? I could not get 2 of the 4 removed from My 08 997.1 turbo even as the muffer is out of the car now.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
