Watched this last night before changing my engine mounts with the Wevo Semi-Solid versions.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

But when doing the MOT they discovered that the headlight washers did not work.
I have made a YouTube channel that will follow the ownership of my 2002 996tt. The first films are already uploaded now, and I plan to release one per week showing improvements, fixing the car and ownership experiences.
Forums like this, and other YouTube films are brilliant when it comes to sharing info and find solutions for problems. So I hope I can contribute to that, and that people here will find it useful and somewhat entertaining.
I hope that as many as possible will subscribe so that I will be able to keep the films coming, it would be highly appreciated!

And here is my car:
This looks great! I'm about to buy a 2002 turbo. It's modified to 600HP so we'll see what happens. The work was done by Keven at UMW in Seattle. The body has 83k miles, but it has a 30k mile turbo S engine w/ GT2-RS intercoolers and new 16/24 turbos, ECU tune, etc. The ENTIRE suspension has also just been replaced with B8 Bilsteins and H&R lowering springs, plus all-new upper and lower arms, tie rods, and poly bushings. I'll keep an eye on your posts for reference.
Thanks!
Very cool! Congrats!
I hope and believe you will get a lot better deal than I have. But hopefully I'll get most of the repairs out of my way now and be able to enjoy the car for a long time without too many big expenses coming. Post some pics!

Just came across this post @hallvardr
I purchased a 2002 C4S about 4 months ago and am starting to work on it. I expect that there is a lot of overlap given I have most of the turbo features (except for that amazing engine.) What are your thoughts?
Looking forward to watching your videos!
And that spoiler!
Great videos... already going to upgrade my LEDS, fix my under panels and more.... Happy to collaborate on some of the work I am doing if you are interested.
I just bought OZ rims for mine for Summer Tires, replaced my Starter and Starter Wiring, and some other work.
About to figure out how fix a cracked Sill....
That's awesome, congrats!!
I was strongly considering a C4S, but I could not really find anyone that was perfect and when the turbo came up, I just could not resist
Great to hear that some of my videos have given inspiration and helped, I would love to see how you have fixed stuff and good experiences with the car. Finding good writeups and videos of how to fix stuff, makes the ownership so much more enjoyable, so share away!
What wheels did you get? Picture needed! I would have gotten some OZ wheels myself if my car had not come with the LM's
The repairs I did last video for the blinker and strut adjuster worked so no more error codes. But when doing the MOT they discovered that the headlight washers did not work. So in this video I find the problem and fix it. I also change out broken guide pins and plastic weld a little bit on the headlight around another guide.

What is funny is it seems like my son in his forward facing car seat has more space in our 1981 911 with regards to leg room than he does in our 996T. Could be due to the fixed buckets in the 1981 so the front seats are smaller front to rear.
Cool video though! Nice to know there is another wife who supports family adventures in these cars.
I just purchased an 03 996tt X50 w/some slight mods (turbo actuators, intake pipe, evoMS tune) and am glad that there are resources such as this available. I'm not new to Porsche 911's but new to the 996 turbos and trying to get as much info as possible as it's early days for me. The car has 93k miles on her a a good service history w/recently pinned coolant pipes, clutch, etc.
