This is not a probability of success.

I’ve had problems with my targa roof since I bought the car, press the button and it moves for 3 secs stops and then repress and it moves for 3 seconds again and repeat, I adapted and knew I’d sort it at some point, a fortnight ago it stayed open, so I followed lots of possible remedies and thought a good option was to replace the the rear window hatch lock micro switches, however, that didn’t cure the problem but I found another micro switch behind the lock bolted to the rail mech that moves the roof up and down, I tested the switch and it failed, so I tried a loop in the the connector and the roof went up fine.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I have a result but I can’t find the part listed anywhere other than in a workshop manual - any ideas? I’ll check with Porsche Guildford on Monday - but it’s nagging me now, so I thought I’d ask

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Unfortunately, that’s the 3 micro switches in the hatch lock, I have them on order already - but I have found it and it doesn’t help that the numbers are very similar - it’s 996 613 221 00 - 19 in the diagram

POST 4Original post

996.613.221.00 shows in a different illustration in the parts list, but it isn't actually shown on the diagram. It shows a list price of £84.21+VAT, btw. Rose Passion show a photo, which looks like yours: P65699 - 99661322100 - Microswitch for Porsche P65699 - 99661322100 - Microswitch for Porsche www.rosepassion.com and 996.613.231.00: P65701 - 99661323100 - Microswitch for Porsche P65701 - 99661323100 - Microswitch for Porsche www.rosepassion.com

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks it’s reassuring rose passion has a picture, although I’m in walking distance of Porsche Guildford so hopefully it will be cheaper there
