while servicing it i noticed the drive belt damper was leaking and i also noticed some coolant residue near the bottom of the water pump which i attributed to spillage from the filler cap anyway without any fuss the changed the lot under warranty .
Leading evidence: 'Replace lot' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust speed it rises and lowers' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi was hoping to get some feed back . purchased my 991-2 second hand and after i got it i noticed the rear wing extended to full height at 97kph . Everything i have read says 120 kph and middle position under normal conditions .i have had it to Porsche as it still has a warranty and they are saying there is nothing wrong with it , i don't agree . if a few guys could let me know what yours do i can make sure i'm not barking up the wrong tree . Thanks Max
996 is 120 kph. I'm fairly sure the newer 991/992s are much sooner. When I'm out with a run with someone that has a 992 T his is up around 80/90 I think

Thanks for your reply . if you know this guy with the T some precise information would be great . Max
Ap
Apparently yes they can . in my case the wing is raising to the top position at 97 kph under normal driving conditions . the wing should only come to the top position if the sunroof is open or the car is under duress ( putting your right foot into it ) so i'm wondering if this is a sensor issue . the car is under warranty this is why im looking precise info from Carrera T owners .thank you for your reply i hadn't read that post on Rennlist .
Just got the car back from the dealer after two weeks . at my request they re-loaded the program for the wing and it is still the same ,so i may be barking up the wrong tree . would still like to hear from owners of the same model , you never no what you might learn . Max
Yes i have asked , all they say is " it has no faults . my only option now is to gather as much information as i can get from guys that drive my model . i also need to talk to someone that has a Piwis and knows how to use it . Max

the Technic's manual has this section on page 35, with the part of interest for this topic in the second section in
bold
. From a service viewpoint, the third section is a downer but makes sense. That's why they added the "keep the spoiler down when parked" section in the 991.2 manual since raising it exposes the intake grates and their fairly large mesh openings.

Charge-air cooling
The turbo engines of the 911 Carrera model year 2017 models are equipped with efficient charge-air cooling. With two charge-air coolers located at the sides in the rear, a harmonious design (without additional air intakes in the rear side sections) and effective charge-air cooling with a high level of efficiency could be achieved through a vehicle-integrated solution.
The charge air, which is heated to 248° F (120° C) (up to a maximum of 302° F 150° C) due to compression is cooled down by up to 158° F (70° C). Reducing the charge-air temperature results in a greater air mass being contained in the same volume of air. Without charge-air cooling, approx. 80 hp (60 kW) of the maximum engine power would be lacking due to the lower air mass. With charge-air cooling, a proportionally larger amount of fuel can be burned. This significantly increases the fresh mixture energy and the efficiency of the turbo engine and not only improves power and torque, but also reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
Cooling of the charge air is performed via two charge-air coolers installed in the rear side sections, through which the ambient air flows. The cooling air enters via the rear lid. From there, it flows through the cooling-air duct to the right and left charge-air coolers and exits again at the right and left sides of the lower rear apron.
Controlling the cooling air
For thermodynamic support under all operating conditions, the rear spoiler can be extended to the aerodynamic nominal position at speeds below 75 mph (120 km/h) in order to guide the cooling air to the charge-air coolers if required. Due to the position of the rear spoiler and the cooling air duct intakes in front of it, a ram pressure is generated, through which the cooling performance of the charge-air coolers can be increased if necessary. With this additional function, the rear spoiler on the 911 Carrera model year 2017 models has not only an aerodynamic, but also a thermodynamic charge-air cooler function.
Service
Both charge-air coolers must be checked for soiling and cleaned if necessary. For this purpose: both tail lights and the left and right plugs (1) must be removed. A visual inspection should then be performed using a flashlight and a mirror. Dirt must be removed through cleaning, e.g. vacuuming, if necessary.
Ring Porsche Aust direct and ask for technical assistance, state your problem, if they refer you back to your dealer tell them you are unhappy with their answers and could they contact the mothership and ask for the correct activation speeds.
Thanks for all the input i do appreciate it . went back to the dealer who again said it was operating as programed and even reprogramed it for me ( have to admit they have been very patient with me ) . while servicing it i noticed the drive belt damper was leaking and i also noticed some coolant residue near the bottom of the water pump which i attributed to spillage from the filler cap anyway without any fuss the changed the lot under warranty . while they were checking everything after finishing the job the wing mechanism jammed in the open position and they had to get me a new one how's that.
