Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

There was some corrosion on the bulb holder socket, tried cleaning up and bending the tabs but did not work, so I purchased a new one --- also did not work.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is it. I put motor and gearbox back in, new IMS, rear main, and a bunch of other goodies and car drove great for a couple weeks. Then got up to go play some golf, single click. No multi-click like a battery, just a single. So, I bought a new Bosch starter and put that in. Still same issue. Jumping does not work and the motor spins freely. Roll starting the car it starts fine. No codes, nothing. Thoughts? I have been searching about without much to find. Only thought is maybe Cam or Crank sensor, or a bad ground or something. 02 C2 manual. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

New here so hello all, I have done lots of searching but can't figure this out. Here is the issue Front passenger turn signal does not work, it was flashing fast and was very dim.....now it doesn't light at all but rear is still flashing fast There was some corrosion on the bulb holder socket, tried cleaning up and bending the tabs but did not work, so I purchased a new one --- also did not work. Put all new bulbs in front TS, rear TS and side markers----- Nothing, same issue with passenger TS not lighting at all and rear flashing fast Replaced the flasher relay ---- did not help Checked for any bent or corroded pins in the main harness - all good there Any and all thoughts are appreciated!! Thanks

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Solved. Bypassed starter and found even though the strap was "tight" that the nut was a bit loose. Cheers.

POST 4Original post

Glad you got that figured out. I was going to suggest a faulty camshaft/crankshaft position sensor could be culprits, as they can prevent the ECU from syncing ignition, especially post-rebuild where wiring or sensors might have been disturbed.
