Suggestion
IMO, you might be better off trying to get the Cayenne calipers as those can be run with the 330mm(17z) or 350mm(18z) rotors which are closer to your size and also are of axial mounting which should make fabbing up adapter brackets a lot easier.

996 C2 (GT, GTR and Race), for all 4 and 6 piston calipers, use a 32mm disc.

I know the 996 runs 28mm thick discs, but I have heard some use 34mm thick ones.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello guys.
I am quite new to this topic and have been doing some research, but have not been able to find the answer that I am looking for.
I am looking for Porsche brembo calipers that I can put over 345x32mm thick brake discs.
I know the 996 runs 28mm thick discs, but I have heard some use 34mm thick ones. What should I be looking for?
On the attached picture is a m3 with this setup but the 28mm thick ones and that does not work for me
Hope you can help
They maybe using 996tt calipers which is more representative of the 34mm discs but has 330mm.
If they are using these then then the swept area might not be fully utilized with the 345 size.
Are you trying to fab up your own kit? Why not buy a kit that's already out there. There are multiple combinations for the BMW out there.
Well. I am just trying to get the calipers. I will be fitting those on my BMW 850CSI. The reason I am trying to fab something is because of the wheels I am running.
Cant fit nothing uber big and the calipers I am running are like 8-9 kg just the caliper.

However those are 6 pistons and I know you were asking about 4 pistons.
At least in the US, the 17z's are actually cheaper than many 996/997 calipers.
Brembo GT calipers are what are on that E46M3, they are the second strongest street caliper from Brembo (GTR is strongest.)
996 C2 (GT, GTR and Race), for all 4 and 6 piston calipers, use a 32mm disc.
996 C4/C4S/Turbo/GT2/GT3 (GT, GTR and Race) all use 6 piston calipers with a 34mm disc
Also tell me one thing. If I would reduce the I sprung weight on each wheel of 3 kg. Would you say that's a lot as that's the difference in between those calipers
