Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Well, it's pretty easy to test the battery and see if it's losing charge...

Get a baseline number - how much it typically drops overnight - and then start pulling fuses and testing daily until you find the culprit.

I do use a battery tender but I don't want to have to use one for a short durations

Suggestion
There have been several threads of people posting about their cars dying after a day or two that you can probably track down - but I can leave mine for a week or two with no ill effects, though I typically use a maintainer if it's going to be a week or more to avoid deep-drawing the battery unnecessarily.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So I have a 2003 c4s that I don't drive every day but I seem to have a battery issue. With the doors locked the battery seems to go dead within 5 days of sitting.
Background
Newer battery tests fine
No drains found, no accessories installed
The question is do stock 996s have a reputation for not being able to park for more than a week?
I want to park at the airport and am not sure I can
I keep my 996 parked in storage for several weeks at a time with the doors locked and have never had any low battery issues. There must be some sort of drainage issue.
I don't think they have a reputation. There have been several threads of people posting about their cars dying after a day or two that you can probably track down - but I can leave mine for a week or two with no ill effects, though I typically use a maintainer if it's going to be a week or more to avoid deep-drawing the battery unnecessarily. My 986 Boxster was the same - I left it stored for a couple of weeks at a time with no battery issues.
I'm with Lex - something is drawing more current than it oughta. Get a baseline number - how much it typically drops overnight - and then start pulling fuses and testing daily until you find the culprit.
Thanks for the quick response and validation that there is a problem. I do use a battery tender but I don't want to have to use one for a short durations
Time to look deeper
I had the same issue when I first got my car, let it sit for a few days and the battery would go flat. I think my problem was I was leaving it unlocked.
Now I have a c-tek maintainer (same brand that makes the charge-o-mat ii) and lock it when its in storage. I also keep the frunk and rear deck ajar in case the battery goes dead but its locked in a garage under a cover so i can get away with it.
Not to thread jack but how long is too long for it to sit? I'm going away for 2 and a bit months I don't want it to sit for that long but it might have to.
