Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When I test the harness, plug side and removed from sensor, I get a 5v reference, 1ohm on the ground continuity, and 0.06v on the signal wire.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

'01 C4 Cab I've had a persistent p0453 code that I can't figure out. Specifically "Switch High" and not "Short to B+". Live data shows a 3.1kpa reading, which is basically maxed out. I started with the basic stuff - first I replaced the sensor. No change. I found a nick from a pinch point in all three wires to the plug and soldered them all back together. No change. Visually inspected all of the wires I can without taking apart all the bundles, found nothing. When I test the harness, plug side and removed from sensor, I get a 5v reference, 1ohm on the ground continuity, and 0.06v on the signal wire. That seems good and right, but If I instead ground the signal wire to the chassis and not the sensor ground, I get a steady 4v reading on the signal wire. That feels like maybe getting somewhere because that does correlate to the 3.1kpa ftp reading, but how and why could that be? And how do I get the damn light off The car has no symptoms or issues aside from the CEL and p0453

Ok... wire connection question number 2! This connection seems to be free-floating in my engine bay. It comes from the right side (passenger side) next to the MAF sensor connection. I can't seem to find where this connection plugs into. A photo is worth a thousands words (I think). THANKS much! ;o)
