Hi everyone, currently have a 06 Cayman S , i'm checking on a 2011 Carrera S with 37K miles PDK , $57K and 2014 Boxster S 9K miles $55K, cant decide which one to purchase. if it was you which car would you buy? owned boxster before. i usually do my own maintenance. How reliable is 2011 Carrera S, at 37K miles what maintenance does it needs. Vic

No right or wrong answer. Test drive should help you decide. The 911 will need the 40k service pretty soon. Think that includes plugs as well as the major maint items. Warranty may be a consideration. If these are US cars the BoxsterS should have some factory warranty left and possibly could be CPO if buying from a dealer. 911 is past original factory warranty.

My two cents would be to go with the Boxster . It is a newer design and is easier to work on.

Just based on looks, I'd pick the 981 over the 997 in a blink. If it was a 991, my answer would be different. Based on ride, test drive both for both ride differently. Based on reliability, both are very reliable. Good luck... There's no right or wrong answer. It's subjective.

Great cars, both. Those are 20" Sport Classic or Carrera classic wheels or whatever they call it. You didn't say the Boxster you are looking at only has 9000 miles. Comparing that to a 10 year old Carrera is tricky.
