Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 1988 marine blue 3.2 narrow body cabriolet with G50 transmission.
Details -
Year / Model: 1988 Built / 1989 Model Year (K-Program, Final 3.2 Year) * Delivery Date: 29 March 1989 * Selling Dealer: Hamiltons of South Yarra (Official Victorian Importer) * Body Style: Narrow-Body Cabriolet (Front turbo like splitter, no Rear Spoiler) * Current ODO: 166,000 km
From my research it has the following -
FULL FACTORY PRODUCTION STICKER DECODING ------------------------------------------------------------------------
* 911 631: Internal Factory Model Sub-Type Identification. * 93025-64K: Type 930/25 Engine Architecture (Model Year 1989). * G5001-: Type G50/01 5-Speed Manual Transmission Specification. * C23: Country Equipment Code: Australian Delivered Specification. * 139: Seat Heating: Left Seat. * 243: Shorter Gear Shift Lever for G50 Housing. * 340: Seat Heating: Right Seat. * 437: Comfort Seat Left: Fully Electrically Adjustable. * 438: Comfort Seat Right: Fully Electrically Adjustable. * 439: Electric Cabriolet Soft-Top Control System. * 454: Automatic Speed Control (Cruise Control). * 490: Hi-Fi Sound Package (Premium Sound System). * 559: Air Conditioning System with Front/Rear Condensers. * 975: Velour Carpet Lining for Front Luggage Compartment. * 00011 / 00013: Custom/Exclusive Production Order Sequences.
* Paint Code: LW999 — Factory Paint to Sample (Finished in Marine Blue) * Interior Code: SW — Marine Blue Partial Leather with Cream Carpeting
I am informed it is likely the car was bespoke-ordered from Stuttgart via the Paint to Sample (PTS) program to capture a distinct celebratory aesthetic, utilizing custom interior production sequence codes (00011 / 00013). It appears to "mirror" (in my view) very closely the 25 year anniversary model.
Factory Rear Seat Delete: custom-ordered layout replacing the rear seats with two factory-fitted storage cupboards featuring lockable black doors matching the dashboard and cream inner lining carpet to match the interior carpet. * Wheels: Genuine, original factory Black-Centred Fuchs Alloy Wheels. * Aero Trim: Factory-style front lip spoiler (Turbo-style) on a narrow body. * Completeness: 100% complete original roadside accessories including the unused factory jack, canvas tool roll, spare tyre, and half-tonneau cover.
Mechanical Health: Comprehensive engine rebuild and complete clutch assembly replacement performed by marque specialists Auto Coupe (Eltham, VIC) on 9 June 2010 at 148,152 km. The vehicle has traveled under 18,000 km since this major mechanical overhaul. * Exterior Protection: Full professional multi-stage paint correction and NXTZEN Graphene coating applied in August 2023 (Active 7-year warranty).
I am told based on information on the white sticker in my owner's book it is Type 930/25 (engine) — 100% Matching to Factory Sticker.
The above information is unverified at this stage but I intend making further inquiries.
Based on the above information I would appreciate any thoughts on the probable accuracy of the above and how best to confirm, or otherwise, the foregoing.
Also any thoughts anyone may have re: the "uniqueness" and probable value.
Cheers
There's a marine blue 1988 cab advertised on carsales with a dealer for $125k. I'd say maybe $110k-$120k as a rough estimate. If it's advertised through a dealer, maybe $130k.
Car is not PTS. Marine blue is factory for your model year. Some cars had PTS colour codes without being PTS for some reason.
Heated seats is an uncommon option. The rest of the options are fairly common on most Aussie cars besides the short shifter, which is less common.
Hope that helps.
I also have a marine blue coupe.
