Good morning all I've been on here for a while, but first time poster. I am in a Melb. bayside suburb and have a 996.2 tip cab (have had for about 9.5 years). The other day, my battery died which was no surprise as it was at least 9.5 years old. The battery was a Bosch 56318 SM Mega Power Plus. This battery has a CCA rating of 540, and is physically 17.5 cm high and fitted neatly into the battery space. Online sources suggest that 540 CCA is inadequate for this model and it should be more like 750 CCA. In the Century range, the recommended battery is DIN65LHX MF, which is 760 CCA and is physically 19cm high. Other recommended batteries from other brands such as Bosch are also all 19cm high. My concern is that with the Century battery sitting in the battery tray, it looks very high (above the level of the frunk rubber seal) and it appears that there will be very little clearance to the frunk lid (see photos). So my question is, do others have batteries of this height and is it ok, clearance wise? I've searched this forum and others and not found any information about this. Thanks, appreciate any help on this.
