Battery disconnected Bonnet locked Hot wire off of fuse box and off of engine terminal not working - I assume as the battery is disconnected I found the wire to pull the engine lid no problem (under the rear nearside light UK) What I cannot find is the bonnet release cable on either side at the front. I have both wheels off, arch liners etc. Nothing!! I'm up the brown creek without a padel....... Any one know exactly where this should be? Its a 2002 C4S UK And yes I lknow there have been multiple posts on this broad topic but I cant see one which says what you do when there is no emergency cable!

Have you got a decent earth to connect to when you jump the fuse box? Half the time that's the issue. Try earthing to some bare steel if you can find any.

When I had that problem it turned out the cable had snapped for the previous owner. I looked under the front bumper up in the direction of the catch and saw a frayed cable hanging down. Pair of mole grips round it and managed to pop it open.
