Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
I am looking to do some interior upgrades to my 996 C4S. I am thinking of getting Car play installed and some re-upholstering of the arm rest and then potentially a new gear knob.
Can anyone suggest some options and a place near London that can do the work?
Thanks in advance!
I got my steering wheel done by royal steering wheels, but he was rubbish at replying to emails, so couldn't get anything else done.
Upholsterer on ebay did my gearknob, very quick turnaround.
I have an IXI gearknob too that i like.

There are loads of oem leather/carbon and silver options available if you want to keep things OEM.
Just replaced all plastic surfaces with mixture of leather, carbon and silver. About 90% OEM. Few rare pieces i can't find like leather rear view mirror and leather stalks.
If you have a black interior you can dye the leather black very easily. Opens up a few options in colour. Done it with quite a few bits. My vents were actually Nephrite! Leather cup holder was grey, leather climate control was tan, leather speaker coveres were savannah.
The leather steering column is a nice piece though, very subtle addition. I sat in a gunther 993 which had a full leather and carbon interior, but all i could see was the plastic steering column! (993 uses the same one, of very similar anyway)
Yeh black is an easy dye but I can dye leather any colour with the right preparation. Didn't realise your vents were leather. The silver is nice on the slats. The slats on my vents are all covered in leather.
The plastic in 996s really lets the interior down. Covering the bits in leather makes a massive difference
I am currently working on full leather air vents, dash wrap around panels and a centre console, all in oem stitched leather. Will be advertising them soon
US ebay has come up with a few things though usually a bit pricey. I bought the leather defroster vents without the inserts, then got gel coated carbon inserts from directcar trim.
CCX search behind up a few things, CC is an option code X just means any one of them. I got the leather sills and dome light on that search.
Carbon infrared sensor came up on ebay! Tied in the defroster vents nicely.
More bits i bought on ebay. Speaker covers had to be unpicked, dyed then glued to my frames. Climate control is a rare piece, sold the surround as i had a carbon one.
That cup holder wasn't advertised as leather just grey, but i zoomed in on the grain and took a punt, turned out it was leather, so i dyed that too.
