This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
If it isn't fast enough for you, then ad a supercharger or turbo and it will definitely run a lot faster.

I agree, they look like add on, there was a new set on eBay last week, but they did not come on 2003 so I passed.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Here are some pics of my 996 cab with interior and exterior mods. Think I'm done with upgrades, but looking at others on this post make me want to tinker some more.

Jay,
The car is stock as I ordered it from the factory with the exception of the following:
- Bilstein PSS10 shocks/struts
- GT3 track arms
- H&R sway bars
- X51 oil pan
- Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) with Dansk tips
- K&N intake system
All of the above were done by my Porsche dealership mechanic. I did not set out to lower the car for appearance but rather had the same mechanic set it up for the track with a more aggressive camber. I do about 4 DEs on average a year.
If you have further questions, I am happy to answer them.
thanks guys much appreciated ;-)
wheels wise the 1st thing i wanted to do was swap them but on looking for a better looking wheel i kept compairing them and and they suddenly grew on me lol
oh and will post up an introduction post in the relevant section shortly ;-)
Thanks! I've been mulling over the whole IMS thing and getting pretty paranoid about it these past few days
Finally decided to get it done (and maybe the RMS seal), at the same time as the 30k service, as soon as the weather warms up - seems the sensible thing to do, esp. as it's not been driven much.
Just figured out the car didnt come with traction control, so may look at retrofitting it... a PCA drivers Ed is on the cards as well.
My 1999 996 C2 w/40k miles. She was in storage for 10 years without being moved once, and I purchased her for an unbelievable price. Added a muffler bypass exhaust and get compliments everywhere I go (but I'm now officially deaf). It's by far the best car I've owned.

Love it! Thank you so much for posting that.

Awesome pictures! It looks like you got a real gem. Can't believe it sat for so long. Now you just need some side markers
I just purchased my first Porsche, a 1999 996 Carrera 2, silver with a gray interior and a 6 speed manual. It has 67K on it currently, and the IMS bearing and the clutch was replaced at 63K (the original bearing was in perfect shape). The car is tight and has no rattles, and does not have a single ding or dent on it.
I really love driving it.
Lot's of great looking cars people. Great job!

Very nice car, I especially like the wheels. Are those 19"
If it isn't fast enough for you, then ad a supercharger or turbo and it will definitely run a lot faster. Nice car and good luck
This is my 2003 996 C2 Carrera Aero
Factory Carrera Fixed Wing option
Factory Carrera Skirts
Added the Original Porsche Aero / GT3 front bumper.
When I purchased the Bumper from ECS in 04/2014, there were only 10 Bumpers left in the world. 1 in PA, 2 in GA and 7 in Germany.
BTW, that car is stunning!!

Thanks, I just love this car
I've had it for six years and thought about selling it but decided to keep it and just pour money into it until I run out of money
