This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I would like to have CC retrofitted to my car but am not sure if it is possible and any Porsche specialists that can do it - could anybody kindly let me know if it is possible and which Porsche specialists might be able to do the work, please - I can travel anywhere in England if needed but prefer Home Counties if possible. TIA

POST 2Original post

Here's the Pelican Parts article telling you how to do it: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Porsche-996-997-Carrera/92-ELEC-Working_Cruise_Control/92-ELEC-Working_Cruise_Control.htm?srsltid=AfmBOooi6It76HUBFLzxJSQ08cbsoK7K9khdylUA6YjKp-tm9n_JpbGC I did it myself for the 986 Boxster.

POST 3Original post

My friends at Wrightune in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, offer this: https://wrightune.co.uk/Modern-Porsche-Service#Cruise-Control They will use all new parts, of course, so more expensive than DIY. Take that Pelican DIY with a pinch of salt for a 996 Turbo. It has several errors, and replies to questions that are completely wrong. If you really want to take the DIY route, drop me a PM with your email address.

POST 5Original post

Without knowing if you have done this yet, I did the work myself and then had an indy do the programming. The work involved fitting the 4 stalk unit and running additional wiring to the dash, quite straight forward if you are practically minded.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for your suggestion Kevin. I had the work carried out by Wrightune before Christmas and am very pleased with the outcome - the CC works great and Chris and his team were very helpful and flexible to complete the work to a high standard as well as carry out some other work that I needed. Thanks again for your time to let me know your suggestion, Kevin.
