Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Pelican Parts: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Congrats on the new ride! You can likely plug in your vin # into a site like the link below and it should tell you all the options that your car came with. Vin Decoder

Dmitry: I have a 2006 Carrera S and have added numerous Pelican performance parts -- comp air plenum, cold air induction, headers and exhaust. Next on the list is suspension improvements. Not sure where to go here since there are so many options. Not going to race it but want to lower it an inch and tighten up the ride. Recommendations are appreciated. Also would like to understand if I need to address the IMS bearing topic. I have 45k miles currently and no issues thus far. Only drive it about 7 months a year and the other 5 months in storage since I'm in Ohio. Thoughts?

POST 11Original post

Hi All, 1st time here. just looking for some help. I have a 1999 996 with about 60k miles. runs great, but bogs down a little bit at higher rpm and harder acceleration. I have replaced the AOS and had the car "smoked" it showed a very small leak around the oil cap. so i replaced that. i have been looking at forums, etc for a bit and seems like the MAF is most common. I tried to replace that and the car would fire up and quit. so i cleaned the old one and it runs and operates just fine?? I have also replaced all 4 O2 sensors on this car. The code P1128 keeps appearing. Any help on this or experience from this?? Much appreciated, Thank you!!

Hey all, I have a DIY in the works for 997 memory seat conversion to 996. This approach requires no soldering. Not sure how to submit as a DIY but want to get this one the forums to help others trying to install 997 seats into a 996. Please let me know how to post it up.

Here's my new to me 997.2 C4S, in Macadamia Metallic over full Cocoa leather interior. I sold my 76 Targa (Brownie) and this is the first time in a while that I have been on the Forums. Will no doubt be looking for tips as I get used to the new car, do service work, etc. Anticipate a fluid change for the front differential coming up. Everything else on this car has been meticulously maintained before my purchase in late October. It has been flawless since. Love it.
