Just purchased a 2017 911 .2 with 25k miles on it. Formerly owned a 2014 base Cayman . This car has the Sports Suspension and I am not wild about it because even in "normal mode" it really rides rough on moderately bad roads. Its fine on smooth roads but if it gets a little bumpy, my teeth want to jangle. Not like my Cayman , which had a much smoother ride in "normal mode". I guess I have to live with it but I am a little disappointed; I should have done more road testing before I bought. Just sharing an impression.

I’ve had the opposite experience. I recently “upgraded” from a 2014 991.1 C2 Cab to a 2019 991.2 GTS Cab (with PASM ). Both my wife (copilot) and I feel the ride in normal mode is improved. What tire pressure are you running? High pressure can definitely have a negative effect on the ride.

Sorry, just saw your reply. I am running the recommended 45 PSI in the back and 35 PSI in the front. And all four tires are new, with plenty of tread. I am thinking about getting rid of it and taking a moderate loss because I just don't like the harshness.

Are front 35 psi and rear 45 psi the tire pressure shown on the driver's door jam? Those amounts seem high, particularly the rear. And pressures are tire size dependent of course.

I have a 2018 991.2. I bought it a few days ago, when I got home I checked the tire pressure. They were running 45 psi in the rear. That’s max load specs. I changed to comfort mode F 29 rear 35. Huge improvement!
