Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I couldn't believe how much the white stood out on the run (with a girl driver at that).
Leading evidence: 'Run (with a girl driver at' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run (with a girl driver at' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

let me know when you do this cause i have the 3.6 which isn't that much of a difference but a slight difference....
i know not every set-up is identical so it'll be interesting....
Quote:
Will do. The SC 3.6 is much faster, it is at least another 50-60hp... so @around 475hp+ easily is a big advantage....but the 3.4 is more tunable, for more performance.

i understand the concept and idea, but real life results don't add up. it's not as good as the OEM flywheel setup on the 911.
spools up more quickly? we talking about turbo engines here?

No experience with the OEM LWFW though have a hard time seeing the difference being that dramatic.
Spooling, <meh> bad word choice, you get the point though. Rotational mass is the enemy was my point. Two cars with equally skilled drivers with the only difference being one with OEM NON LWFW and one with a LWFW. The one with the LWFW will have an advantage in some aspects such as coming out of a corner since the engine will rev up more quickly/freely. Will it make a diff in the lap times, maybe not. But there are some aspects that could give a competitive edge.
we've had the lwfw in the 996 for a week now. i've noticed a big difference in coming out of corners, but also for acceleration. i think, personally, it was worth the difference in price. we'll see when we take it to the track and try it out this spring.

Rmedy,
The front bumper is OEM stock 996, BUT the lower lip extension is made by Orciari

They have a dealer in FL where I got mine. My paint shop, a concours quality work tyoe, took some labor cost off because he said he didnt have to work in prepping it that hard due to the excellent material and finish that it came in. I think your next question is hoew much
I paid 800 plus shipping 2 or 3 years ago. Under my signature, there should be an album with my install....Ooops.. I thought I did. I guess I took it out
There are some pictures there though that show different angles.

If I do it again, I'll get the GT3 front(aero II).
But to pick between yourchoices, I would still do this because somehow to me, the turbo bumper doesn't go with that tail. Maybe if you have the GT2 tail then the TT front would be awesome....

I did a fall rennlist drive, there was a white 997 there.... I couldn't believe how much the white stood out on the run (with a girl driver at that). def a cool color on a p-car.
Those are some of the best looking Porches I've ever seen. I've just spent $10k in my head looking through all the pics... I know it was said a few times by others about loving the wide body but you just have to admire the athletic look of the narrow. Sat low down it just looks so quick, look at the MK1 GT3 shape and stance, it's set to slice through the corners and power away, stunning.
Got alot of admiration for you guy's cars...
Well, just got it out of the paint shop so I guess it would be appropriate to post some pics...
It was originally a standard black but now sports the Basalt Black Pearl. Very happy with the new look!
P.S. Many thanks to Tony for the great pics!
