Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi guys, I took a drive with my 4 year old and he, of course, broke my car within the first hour of the drive. He pulled too hard on the sunroof close switch and the switch tab is broken. Switch is still on the module, but one side of the switch is loose and I can see a plastic tab broken underneath. My question is, how do you remove the sunroof switch module as a whole? I found the module on suncoast and planning to replace the entire module. After some searching I can get down to removing all the trims around it, but all the videos I have seen, does not show how to remove the sunroof module itself.

POST 2Original post

Hey @slee061986 , oh man, that’s such a classic kid move—my condolences on the broken sunroof switch! It sounds like you're so close since you've already figured out how to get the surrounding trim off. Once the module is exposed, are there any specific clips or tabs that seem to be holding it in place? Adding that extra detail might help someone here remember the trick to getting it out.

POST 3Original post

This is not your part, but I think if they sell that button cover wouldn't it be logical that the Sunroof button cover is also available? Which also means the switch covers probably pop off with a little leverage rather than pulling entire module.

POST 4Original post

Unfortunately, from what I can see, the button cover itself is not broken, but the holder for the button cover on the right and left sides, which seems to be the part of the entire housing, is broken
