Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

You just need a start routine: Start car; hold hidden button on bottom on cruise control stalk for a couple of seconds to defeat lane change; and switch to Sport mode to defeat auto stop/start.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Does anyone here have direct experience with a memory module for a 992 .2? I’m thinking about giving this a shot, in order todisable all of the “nannies” as permanently as possible, but want to make certain that it doesn’t have any negative side effects.

POST 2Original post

Not sure they are really necessary and they are a pain to fit requiring significant chunks of the rear interior to be removed. You just need a start routine: Start car; hold hidden button on bottom on cruise control stalk for a couple of seconds to defeat lane change; and switch to Sport mode to defeat auto stop/start. If you really must defeat over-speed audio notifications, then assign a suitable joker button. However, I find the general noise levels in the my 992 .2T and the somewhat quiet over-speed notifications (triggered on track of course ) not to be much of an issue anyway.

POST 3Original post

What other method is there to completely and permanently disable all of the "nannies"?

POST 4Original post

None that I found when researching prior to delivery. Now that I’ve had the car for 4 months and 4K miles, I‘m glad I saved the cash as it‘s no hardship just turning of the worst nannies (lane keeping is deadly in France for instance and annoying elsewhere; over-speed audio less so).

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
