Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hello, I have got a lot of info from this site already. I am a new 997.1 owner (2008). So far so good. However, my wife and I went for a drive last weekend and I noticed that the "passenger airbag disabled" light on the center console was still lit, even with her in the seat. I tried checking connections under the seat but nothing seemed loose. Other forums mention an airbag light on the dash that should light up when the key is inserted. I don't have that. When I look at the seat belt light on the opposite side, I can see the outline, even when off. On the other side, where the airbag light should be, I can't see anything. So, I'm not sure what to look for. Would an obd scanner still tell me anything? Could I disable the passenger occupancy sensor and have the passenger airbag on all the time? I've read that if it is a sensor issue that I need to replace the entire lower seat section or something like that. I just want my passenger to be safe(est they can) but not spend a fortune lol. I don't ever have kids in the car so that wouldn't be an issue. Sorry for the rant. Just curious of what others that have experienced this have done. Thanks.
