Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

At that price, you can be damned sure I'm using the exchange.
Leading evidence: 'Use exchange' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace baby' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
That’s hardly any wear on the oil at all but I always err to the side of engine protection because the labor is free and I can reset my own oil reminder.

Suggestion
I haven't yet seen a significant improvement with using the DI40 but perhaps its beyond the blackstone oil tests to show.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

New toy. Quick Jacks are awesome!
First time I'm doing an oil change for my baby. Nothing but the best for my baby. Driven oil isn't cheap, but I get my stuff from FCP Euro, so it's free from here on out.
You're absolutely right,
@theblooms
- Very cool. Enjoy and congrats! Using my QJ as we speak.
1) Look into a set of the Porsche pucks to use with the medium (or separately purchased low) blocks, and you'll likely be able to get the QJ under the car without the wooden slats in your pictures.
2) Whatever you do, though, NEVER stack QJ blocks. That's how accidents happen.
3) Consider using a pair of Esco floor jacks as an emergency failsafe; I put one on each side to potentially support the QJ in the middle in case it fell.
4) Make sure you open/close the vent on the pump. I didn't at one point, and damaged the plastic reservoir -- it collapsed inwards.
5) Do a web search for the QJ "floor hack" so you can roll them around your garage floor.
@Boristhespyder
- OP is suggesting that all FCPEuro items have a free return. People send back their used oil/filters purchased from there -- which is a known thing; FCPEuro factors in such returns into the price of everything.
Bought my QuickJacks end of 2022. I've already paid for them nearly twice over just in dealer maintenance savings, and that's before I bought my
Porsche
(only had it a few weeks). They are great. I'm terrified of getting under low cars and having something really stable and solid to lift them on is a huge help.
I didn't know about FCP Euro's deal with warranty at all. I'd looked there for a transmission pan but while it's a ZF they don't sell for Italians. I'd been considering ordering some gear oil from there anyway, although by the time I'd replace that we may be on the holographic AI bot internet and they aren't evan around. Do you know if they require the oil to match a car they officially sell parts for? I could totally swap to
Motul
for free* over the
Mobil 1
I'd been using. Probably was ordering
Porsche
stuff from there anyway, so good to learn. It may be a while before I need wear parts on it.
Already got them!
NO NO NO, I'd never do that!
My jackstands are US Jack Garage Stands. They are far, far better than anything Esco makes.
Yup, the instructions point this out about 3 times!
Mine have rollers on one end already, but I'll do that! Thanks!
Two way shipping, repackage spent oil. It seems like that’s designed to dissuade you and it certainly worked on me. I will just buy it local and dump it local where it is free service.
I can understand that but frequency of change is a factor and since I change filter and oil at 3k and don’t track the car,
Mobil 1
euro is more than fine. That’s hardly any wear on the oil at all but I always err to the side of engine protection because the labor is free and I can reset my own oil reminder.
They don't care. Driven isn't
technically
approved for a Porsche because it hasn't gone through A40 certification, but they are fine to cover it anyway.
I've been considering this exchange but there is a lot of paperwork to send oil thru the mail from CA. Still might be worth the effort. I haven't yet seen a significant improvement with using the DI40 but perhaps its beyond the blackstone oil tests to show.
You bag it up, put it in a box, slap a shipping label on it, and away it goes. That's literally all there is to it.
Now I do double bag it. Each bottle is in a "goldfish bag", and then all of them go inside of a garbage bag which is then placed in the box, just to be double sure no leaks.
