This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone bother with adjusting their headlamps to the other side of the road when you take your 996 to Europe? If so how do you do this? Do you follow the drivers manual instructions (which looks like the dealer has to do it), or do you put on some sort of beam converter thingy? We are taking the C2 down to the south of France in the summer for a couple of weeks. In previous years I have just stuck beam converters on the Volvo V70 we usually take, but I dont know how you would do this with the 996' s lights. Mark PS: Hoping to get there a bit quicker in the 996 compared with the Volvo.

POST 2Original post

If you have the Litronic lights, you can flick a switch over. The lights have to be removed to do this, which is a 5 minute per side job, that is detailed in the owners manual. For the first time you do this, I would advise you to get someone to steady the light as you release it, and pull it out. If you do not have the Litronic lights (Xenon beams), you will have to get either stick on beam convertors a set of Cheap second hand LHD headlamps (There are plenty amber indicator-lights available very cheaply <£100 ) The standard non-litronic lamps do not have the flick switch.

POST 3Original post

Mark. if you go to the BOXSTER pages you will find this very subject well covered.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Geri/Helen I dont have the Litronic lights, so it looks like good old insulation tape for me. Regards Mark

POST 5Original post

Mark, hope you have a great time....on holiday that is.(not sticking little bits of tape to your head lights[:' (]) it' s about time these countries learnt to drive on the correct side of the road it would save us all a lot of bother.

POST 6Original post

Why not? ....simply wait for a nice sunny day, invite some freinds round, crack open a beer, crank up the Becker, and wah-haaaaayyyy! Take it in turns! [ ]
