Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, First post here having learnt a lot from this forum but only got round to the first inspection of my relatively new to me 2002 Targa imported from Japan (55,000km/34,000miles) Just got the bores scoped and want to check in with the wise and knowledgeable people here if you see any concerns. I believe and hope they all look fairly ok, except I’m a little worry about Cyl 4 especially and also perhaps Cyl 1 whether there is some light scoring. Just got DT40 for the oil change as part of the service now.. Thanks a lot!

POST 2Original post

Doesn't get much better than that. Stop worrying

POST 3Original post

Agreed I don’t see anything concerning there. You want to turn it over though and check the full bores on all cylinders

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you both. Indeed thought it looked good and can now sleep much better as I couldn’t do proper PPI prior. Thanks!
