This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

If you think it is internal I would remove the oil filter and check for metal before revving the heck out of the engine to find the noise.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

When I give power, 1300RPM and up to the car the sound vanish. I have change; Belt drive bearings. Timing Chain Tensioners. Bearings in the generator. Can It be the; The timing chains? One Hydraulic lifter? The Oil pump? Br. B.

POST 2Original post

I listen to it yesterday. It is very difficult to tell from a video.. I would get a mechanics stethoscope and try to pin point it with that. If you think it is internal I would remove the oil filter and check for metal before revving the heck out of the engine to find the noise. Did you say this was a turbo car? (Dual mass fly wheel will make noise if bad) You said the noise went away when you rev the engine. I remember doing a few cracked fly wheels that displayed that symptom.

POST 3Original post

Now that I have listen to it a couple of times. I would put a stethoscope in the area of the fly wheel. Only take a few minutes. Just a guess. None of us are there.

POST 4Original post

Take the accessory drive belt off and run it long enough to hear if it stopped. Don't run the car long without the belt. This will eliminate or help pinpoint the noise. If it is still there then it is not water pump, idlers etc... And you will need to dig deeper.
