As it's not possible to get matching Continentals to replace the rears I think I have to bite the bullet and change all 4.

I’d rather go with something like nexen tyres in the correct sizes than change size.

Just bought a set via Porsche Reading and am very pleased with them.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just refreshed my front suspension and thought I'd check the tyres, as clearly I hadn't spent enough money
I have Contisport Contact 3 on the rear (255/40 R17) and Contisport Contact 5 on the front (205/50 R17). Tread is fine, but the rear tyres are 10 years old and have slight wear on the inner edge so I should really change them. As it's not possible to get matching Continentals to replace the rears I think I have to bite the bullet and change all 4. As we all know, these are not easy sizes to find as a set! Nearest I can find is Michelin PS4 for the front, and PS5 for the rear but 245/40 size. Camskill give me all 4 for around £500 which seems OK.
Anything I'm making a massive mistake on here??
Oh ok ,i was thinking of 275/265 on 18's , what about other brands? Yokohama do a 255 x40 x17 Z R advanced sport tyre, very close to pilot sport tread have a look on ebay at them.
So having done lots of searching, I can get the correct sizes for rear (255/40) with 225/45 on front in Michelin PS5, Continental Ultra Contact or Falken Azenis. I'm tempetd by the Falkens as suggested by Alex for the amount of driving I do (with 1 track day per year at most)
